Commander Robert Mejia leads VFW Post 9657 in Rosamond, California. With service in three branches of the military, starting in 1976 with six years in the Navy followed by joining the Army Guard, after 13 years as an heavy transport driver loading M60 tank then M-1 for testing followed by a transfer to the Air Force in 1996, his career spans decades of dedication retired as MQ-9 crew chief. Today, he continues to serve as a civil servant, working on F-16 FIghting Falcon Aircraft at Edwards Air Force Base, California. His vast experience and unwavering commitment drive the mission of supporting veterans and fostering community spirit at the post.
