WELCOME TO ROSAMOND

No One Does More for Veterans
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Commander's Corner

Commander Robert Mejia

Comrades, Members, and Friends,

As we continue to strengthen our post and build a brighter future for our veterans and community, it’s vital that we focus on what makes us strong: community outreach. Reaching out to the community is more than just an effort to gain support; it’s about building meaningful relationships, helping others, and fostering a sense of unity. Each time we engage with our neighbors, we not only show the heart of the VFW but also remind people that our mission extends beyond the walls of our post.

One of our top priorities this year is revitalizing the Rosamond VFW Post. Our building has served as a gathering place for veterans for many years, but it’s time we bring it up to date. Modernizing our facilities will allow us to better serve our members and make our post a welcoming space for veterans, their families, and the community. From renovations to technological upgrades, every improvement will enhance the experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

However, as we plan these updates, we must also consider the safety and well-being of our members. Many of our veterans are getting older, and we need to make sure that we have the proper equipment on hand in case of an emergency. One critical need we’ve identified is an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Having an AED at the post is essential for ensuring that we can respond to heart-related emergencies swiftly and effectively.

To that end, we are launching a fundraiser to help us secure an AED for our post. We’re reaching out to you, our community, for help. Whether through a donation, helping spread the word, or organizing a local fundraising event, every contribution gets us one step closer to this life-saving tool. Let’s come together to ensure our post is equipped to serve the health and safety of all who enter it.

Your support makes all the difference. Together, we can grow this community and ensure that our post is a place where veterans and their families feel supported and cared for. I encourage each of you to get involved, lend a hand, and help us continue our mission of serving those who served.

Yours in Comradeship and Service,
Robert Mejia

Dear Commander,
It is my great pleasure to inform you that the following member(s) of your Post have earned
recognition for their efforts in recruiting new and reinstated members to our great organization.
Recruiter awards, as listed in the National Membership Program, recognize those members who
rise above others to recruit for the benefit of your Post as well as the organization. These awards
are sent to the Post to be given out to the listed recruiter in front of their peers. I would greatly
appreciate it ifyou would personally extend my congratulations to these member(s) at your next
Post meeting. It is only through the tremendous efforts of individuals such as these that the
Veterans of Foreign Wars will succeed in carrying its mission this year. Thank you for your
efforts to "Believe In What You Do - Do What You Believe In³
